My first juried exhibition submission!
Share
Today I submitted my first entry for an artist call for the show Small Wonders at the Museum of Northern California Art in Chico, CA.
This exhibition showcases the microscopic, the miniature, and the overlooked. When I was going through my reference photos, I was looking at close-ups of some of my photos. In my reference photos I took at Mendocino Gardens, I found this little gem–little spider legs peeking out of the stamens of an orange begonia! Being an introvert homebody myself, I could relate 😂 the wisps of web at the petal edges was a fun little detail.
I'll know by February 15th if they accept my painting for the show. Wish me luck! If I don't make it into the show, it'll be up for sale here!
